Sweet and Salty Apple Bacon Pizza
You can’t go wrong with sweet and salty, especially with this pizza recipe, which boasts a mix of apples, onions, and bacon in every sensational slice!

Ingredients:
- ½ tbsp. butter
- ½ medium red onion, sliced
- 1 pizza dough ball (about 12 oz.)
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
- 1½ c. shredded mozzarella cheese
- ⅔ c. blue cheese, crumbled
- 1 small sweet-tart apple (like Honeycrisp, Jazz, or Pink Lady), cored and thinly sliced
- 4 slices cooked bacon, chopped
- 2 tbsp. fresh thyme

Preheat the oven to 450°F.

In a small sauté pan, heat the butter over medium heat. Add the onion slices, and cook until they are tender and have a caramel color. Remove from heat, and set aside.

On lightly floured parchment paper, roll out the pizza dough into a 12-inch circle, about ½-inch thick. Brush the crust with the oil, and sprinkle the middle with the mozzarella and blue cheeses. Top with the caramelized onions, apple, bacon, and thyme.

Transfer the pizza with the parchment paper onto a pizza stone or baking sheet. Bake for 18–20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling. Remove the pizza from the oven, and place it on a cutting board. Let cool slightly before cutting.
