Malt and Salt Chocolate Chip Cookies
Satisfy both your sweet and salty sides with these cookies, which feature two kinds of chocolate and a touch of sea salt.
Makes 24 cookies
Ingredients:
- 2 c. whole-wheat flour
- 1½ tsp. baking powder
- 1½ tsp. cornstarch
- ½ c. chocolate malted milk powder
- 8 tbsp. coconut oil, melted
- 3 egg whites
- ½ c. plus 2 tbsp. nonfat milk
- 4 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 c. brown sugar
- ½ c. dark chocolate chips
- 1 tbsp. flaky sea salt

Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In an electric mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, mix together the flour, baking powder, cornstarch, and malted milk powder until combined. Add in the coconut oil, egg whites, ½ cup milk, vanilla, brown sugar, and chocolate chips, and mix until a dough forms.
- Scoop the dough onto a lightly greased, parchment-lined baking sheet, 1 inch apart, and bake for 15–20 minutes or until the cookies are fluffy and cooked completely. Let cool for 15 minutes.
- Brush the tops of the cookies with the remaining milk and sprinkle with flaky sea salt before serving. Keep leftover cookies stored in an airtight container in the fridge.
